Raiders Set to Host Two C-USA Matches

Peyton DePriest' hat trick was the highlight of Middle Tennessee's 3-0 win over UTEP last Sunday as the team moved to 2-0-1 in conference play. The Blue Raiders host a pair of Conference USA matches this weekend with Old Dominion on Friday, October 5th at 7 p.m. and Charlotte on Sunday, October 7th at 1:00pm. Scouting the Monarchs
Old Dominion has played the majority of its matches at home this season and hold a 4-3-2 record when playing in Norfolk. On the other hand, they're 0-3 when playing on the road as they will be on Friday. The Monarchs are coming off a 4-0 win over Western Kentucky. Morgan Hall scored two of the goals, pushing her season total to a team-leading five goals while Iris Achterhof picked up two more assists to give her five on the season.

Junior forwards Megan Greene and Julia Grainda have scored over 70% of the team's goals with 11 goals between the two. In goal, Abby Stapleton has posted a clean sheet in five of the eight wins and has been a big reason the 49ers only lost one game in September.

MT leads the series with Charlotte 2-1-1. The Blue Raiders have won two in a row including the last meeting in 2015 that saw Kerri Cook's 82nd minute goal give MT the 1-0 win.

Peyton DePriest – Though she's played just four games, DePriest is tied for third in the conference in goals and ranks sixth in points. DePriest has certainly made up for lost time having scored five goals in her last two games including a hat trick against UTEP last Sunday.
Hannah Tillett – The conference leader in goals and assists added to her lead in the win over UTEP with two assists. Tillett is tied for the national lead in points by a freshman and has combined with DePriest to create one of the top scoring offenses in the country, averaging 2.7 goals per game.
Casey Riemer – Riemer is one of seven Blue Raiders who has played every game this season and played a big role in securing the fifth shutout of the year last weekend. Riemer also picked up an assist on a spectacular long pass that set up DePriest for one of her goals.
