MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Lady Raiders welcome UNC Asheville to the Murphy Center for a Thursday evening contest on Dec. 20 at 6:30p.m. The game will feature the teams annual holiday teddy bear toss at halftime and much more!

Santa Claus is Comin' to the Murphy Center

In the spirit of the holiday season, Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be visiting the Murphy Center for pictures before the game. The cheerful duo will be available for pictures from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. on the main concourse behind section P. Similarly, there will be a free sugar cookie decorating station for the whole family to enjoy as well.

During halftime, the team will welcome fans to participate in their annual teddy bear toss, giving the stuffed toys to those in need in the Murfreesboro community. Finally, the game will also feature a coat drive, with drop off locations next to the pictures with Santa.

Tale of the Tape: Middle Tennessee and UNCA

The Blue Raiders lead the all-time series over the Bulldogs, 5-0. Middle Tennessee last met UNCA in Ashville, N.C. as the Lady Raiders claimed a 72-57 victory over the Bulldogs.

Redshirt-sophomore Kyla Allison earned a career-best 24 points against the Bulldogs during the teams last meeting back in 2017. The 6-foot-0 guard inked a career-high 9-of-12 from the field and another career-best 5-of-6 from the charity stripe.

Last Time Out: Blue Raiders Fall to No. 18 Kentucky

Senior standout Alex Johnson poured in a game-high 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting. With her season-best shooting performance, Johnson moved into 12^th on the Middle Tennessee all-time scoring list with 1,489 points.

A'Queen Hayes picked up 13 points while dishing out six assists and pulled four rebounds. Similarly, Alexis Whittington played a career-high 19 minutes, all in the second half, and responded with a career-best nine points on 3-of-6 shooting from 3-point range.

Middle Tennessee travels to their final preseason tournament of the year, participating in the Fordham Holiday Classic in New York, N.Y. The team will face Tennessee foe, Chattanooga on Dec. 29. The team will next take on the winner of the Fordham and Maine contest on Dec. 30 to round off the Fordham Holiday Classic.
