MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee split their second weekend of the season last week, winning 2-0 over North Florida on Thursday before falling 3-0 to nationally ranked Florida State on Sunday. Scouting the Blackbirds
Despite not scoring in their first two matches, LIU Brooklyn made up for lost time with five goals in their third match, as they downed Saint Peter's 5-2 last Thursday night. In that game, Marian Awad finished with a hat trick while Meredith Hill and Josie Watson added goals of their own. Awad has been the leading attacker for the team so far with seven shots on goal, which is as many as the rest of the team combined. She most recently earned a Northeast Conference Player of the Week honor for her offensive efforts last week. In goal, the Blackbirds have started a different keeper in each of their three matches. Megan Haley is the most recent starter, and picked up the win with six saves.

Blue Raider Players to Watch
Hannah Tillett – Through the first two weeks of the year, Tillett has grown to become an integral part of the Blue Raider attack, leading the team and conference in assists with four. Tillett assisted on both goals in the UNF match and continues to lead the squad in points with eight.
Sydney Navarro – After missing the season opener, the senior has been crucial in a solid back line for the Blue Raiders. Navarro showed her speed in the last three matches and made several key clearances to lock down MT's first shutout of the year over North Florida last weekend.
Sydney Chalcraft – The junior keeper has played the majority of three matches for the Blue Raiders. She earned a clean sheet in last week's win over UNF and made seven saves in the Florida State contest.
