MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee women's basketball returns to the Murphy Center after clinching their first two conference wins over FIU and Florida Atlantic. The team looks to notch their third conference win over the Golden Eagles on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Murphy Center.
Blue Raiders Notch Back-to-Back Conference Wins
The Lady Raiders notched their first Conference USA win of the season over FIU (49-43) on Jan. 3 before rounding off their weekend with a 74-55 victory over Florida Atlantic.
Senior A'Queen Hayes led the Blue Raiders offense over their conference opening weekend, notching 39 points. Similarly, Hayes controlled the Middle Tennessee defense in their Florida swing, grabbing 23 rebounds.
Tale of the Tape: Middle Tennessee and Southern Miss.
Southern Miss leads the all-time series over Middle Tennessee, 6-3. The Lady Raiders last claimed a 74-44 victory over the Golden Eagles on February 13, 2016 in the Murphy Center.
