LOUISVILLE, Ky.— Middle Tennessee Women's Golf wrapped up the fall schedule with its third top 10 finish of the season, as MT placed sixth with two Blue Raiders in the individual top 10.
"I'm very proud of how strong the team finished," MT Head Coach Chris Adams said. "Our team was so excited about the way they played and finished today."
Junior Caroline Caudill jumped 15 spots on Sunday with a five-under 67 performance, including a hole-in-one on three and five birdies. Her Sunday on the course was the best round of any Blue Raiders this weekend. It was her second top 10 finish of the season, as she tied for 10th with teammate Sophie Burks.
"What can you say about Caroline's finish today with the hole-in-one?" Adams added. "It was great to see the camaraderie there at the end as well."
Burks also posted her second top 10 placement of the season. Her low round of 70 on Saturday put her in great position to finish in the top 10 on Sunday.
Catherine Caudill wrapped up the Cardinal Cup with a 227 total score, her third such score of her sophomore campaign. Madison Smith was the fourth-best Blue Raider of the weekend with a 228 three-day total. Taylor Edlin finished at 233 as an individual, and Molly Bebelaar had a weekend score of 241 as the fifth MT golfer in the team lineup.
"This is a great momentum-builder for our team to finish the fall season this way, and now we can't wait to get back to it in the spring," Adams said.
After a break during the winter, the Blue Raiders have four regular season events on tap, starting with the Hurricane Invitational in Coral Gables, Florida on March 2-3.
