Cross Country Set to Compete in Louisville

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.— The Middle Tennessee cross country teams are headed to Louisville, Ky. this weekend for the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday morning hosted by the city.
The No. 7/2 ranked Blue Raider men's team is off to a phenomenal start this season, grabbing first place victories in the first two meets of the season. Four Blue Raiders finished in the Top 5 at the Twilight Classic in Memphis, and the team as a whole finished first over nationally-ranked Ole Miss and Indiana.
The women's team finished third overall in Memphis and seventh at the Commodore Classic in Nashville. Sophomores Pamela Kosgei and Joice Jebor finished first and second overall at the Twilight Classic and Junior Eusila Chepkemei led the team for the first time this season in Nashville, coming in eighth place overall.

The Opposition
A total 40 men's and women's teams are competing in the race this weekend, which is the most teams the Blue Raiders have faced so far this season. The Blue Raiders will see C-USA rival Marshall in this weekend's race, as well as Commodore Classic host Vanderbilt.
