Raiders punch ticket into C-USA tournament
11/1/2019 9:43:00 PM | Women's Soccer
MURFREESBORO, TENN – The Blue Raiders did not disappoint in their final home match of the season defeating conference rival UAB by a score of 4-2. This victory cements the Blue Raiders into the conference tournament next week.
Junior forward Peyton DePriest continued her scoring ways putting away two goals and breaking the MT record for career goals scored with 40 goals. You can expect DePriest to make this record her own for a while, seeing that she is just a junior and shows no signs of letting her foot off the gas pedal.
DePriest wasn't the only one invited to the scoring party, with senior Claire Ramet scoring her third goal of the season. Maddi Falter scored the Blue Raiders final goal of the night with just four minutes left in the match, putting the nail in the coffin for the Blazers.
UAB came into this game ranked second in the conference in goals allowed, only giving up 15 goals in 16 matches. The four goals scored by the Blue Raiders is the most the Blazers have given up in a match all season.
Middle Tennessee has now won seven of their last eight matches with UAB, and is 4-0 at home against the Blazers. The Blue Raiders will finish the regular season with an overall record of (8-9-1) and a conference record of (5-4-1).
