Lady Raiders Look to Bounce Back at Tulane

Murfreesboro, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team looks to bounce back after a 52-67 loss to #13 Kentucky in Murfreesboro with a road trip to Tulane. The Lady Raiders will face the Green Wave in New Orleans at 7:00 PM on Thursday, Nov. 14.

- Lady Raider Anastasia Hayes was named co-Conference USA Player of the Week alongside Marshall's Savannah Wheeler. Hayes racked up 35 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, and dished out 13 assists in last week's matchups with ECU and Kentucky. Hayes currently ranks sixth in C-USA in scoring with a 17.5 points per game average.
- The Lady Raiders most senior member Charity Savage ranks sixth in the conference in rebounding with 11.5 per game. Savage recorded her first double-double against ECU with 16 points and 13 boards.
- The Lady Raiders are 14-2 against the American Athletic Conference under Head Coach Rick Insell.
- Tulane slipped past Washington 64-62 in their last matchup in Seattle, Wash. The Green Wave made an 18 point come back capped off by a buzzer beater by leading scorer Arsula Clark.
- Clark was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll Monday. Clark averaged 16.5 points, 4.0 reobunds, 2.0 steals and 2.0 assists in two Tulane wins.
- Tulane returns four starters and nine letter winners from last season's 15-15 squad.
- MT and Tulane meet for the fourth time with the Lady Raiders holding a 2-1 series advantage dating back to March 5, 2014.
- The first meeting between the teams took place during the 2013-14 season when both teams were C-USA members.
- The last time these teams met was Dec. 17, 2017 with the Green Wave topping the Lady Raiders 44-62 in New Orleans.
- In their last game the Lady Raiders fell to the #13 ranked Kentucky Wildcats 52-67.
- The Lady Raider defense held National Player of the Year candidate Rhyne Howard to just nine points on 2-of-10 shooting.
- The Wildcats were held to just 39 percent shooting from the floor as a team.
- Co-C-USA Player of the Week Anastasia Hayes led all scorers and finished the game with 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting.
- Charity Savage led all players in rebounding with 10 on the afternoon.
- After Tulane the Lady Raiders will return home to Murfreesboro for a two game home stand against instate rival Tennessee Tech and Furman.
