Lady Raiders Take on In State Rival Tennessee Tech Tomorrow

Murfreesboro, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team returns home to take on Tennessee Tech after and exciting win against Tulane a week ago. Tip for the game against the Golden Eagles is set for 6:30 PM in the historic Murphy Center.

- With seconds on the clock and trailing by a point, freshman guard and Murfreesboro native Aislynn Hayes knocked down a three pointer to push the Lady Raiders past Tulane in their last match-up.
- Senior Charity Savage has registered double-figure rebounds in three straight games to start the season with 13 at East Carolina and 10 each against Kentucky and at Tulane. Savage also ranks fourth in Conference USA and 26th nationally with 11.0 rebounds per game.
- MT's next win at Murphy Center will be milestone win No. 450. MT is 449-120 all-time at Murphy Center for a 79 percent winning ledger.
- Tennessee Tech is 2-1 on the early season. TTU opened the season with wins against Cumberland (88-51) and Louisiana-Monroe (75-68) before falling at Southern Illinois (76-65).
- The Golden Eagles balanced scoring attack is led by Mackenzie Coleman's 13.3 ppg. Kesha Brady (11.3) and Jordan Brock (10.0) also average double figures.
- TTU was picked third in the OVC preseason poll, after going 22-11 overall and 12-6 in league play last season which earned fourth-year Head Coach Kim Rosamond the OVC Coach of the Year last season.
- The instate rivalry continues as MT and Tennessee Tech meet for the 82nd time as Division I members.
- While the series between the Lady Raiders and is close (Lady Raiders lead 42-39) the Lady Raiders are 13-1 against Tennessee Tech under head coach Rick Insell.
- The last time these two teams met was on Nov. 16, 2018 when the Lady Raiders fell in Cookeville, 64-68, putting an end to Insell's 13 game win streak over the Golden Eagles dating back to 2005.
- In their last game the Lady Raiders defeated Tulane 64-62 on an Aislynn Hayes buzzer beater. Hayes finished the game with 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
- The Lady Raiders were led by sophomore guard Taylor Sutton with 23 points. All but two of the Atlanta native's points came from long range as she made a career high 7-of-19 threes.
- Charity Savage led all players in rebounds for the third game in a row making her the first Lady Raider to start a season with three-straight games with double figures in rebounds since former Lady Raiders and current member of the Seattle Storm, Alysha Clark did it to start the 2009 season.
- After facing Tennessee Tech, the Lady Raiders will continue their home stand by playing Furman for the fourth time in program history.
- MT will take on Furman on Nov. 24 at 2:00 PM.
