Third straight year DePriest placed on All-Region team
MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee's Peyton DePriest was selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region for Division I Women's Soccer.
DePriest continues to reel in honors as she earned first-team accolade after helping the Blue Raiders to a 8-10-1 overall record and a Conference USA Tournament appearance, the third appearance in four years for the program.
Despite missing three full games and a good chunk of another due to injury, DePriest still ended up netting a career-high 18 goals this season which is sixth most in the NCAA and broke the Blue Raider career goals scored record with 42, previous being 38 by Holly Grogan (2004-07).
The junior also set led the conference in multiple offensive categories, including points per game (2.38), goals (18), goals per game (1.12) and second in game-winning goals (5).
The Franklin, Tennessee native is one of two juniors actively ranked in the NCAA Division I in career goals scored. This is her third United Soccer Coaches All-Region award, she earned third team honors her freshman year and first team honors her sophomore year.
