MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team looks to continue its winning ways when it hosts Conference USA pre-season poll favorite UAB in the Murphy Center on Saturday at 6:00p.m.
Last time out, the Blue Raiders (16-5, 7-1) knocked down North Texas (10-10, 3-5) in Conference USA action in a 61-46 victory over the Mean Green. Meanwhile, the Blazers enter the contest after a 43-55 setback to C-USA women's basketball leader, Rice.
Scouting the Blazers (18-3, 6-2)
UAB is the defending C-USA regular-season champion and sports an 18-3 mark under the helm of Randy Norton. The team is currently 8-0 on the road this season.
Rachael Childress leads a balanced offensive attack with 14.8 points per game, while Deanna Kuzmanic (12.7), Katelynn Thomas (12.3) and Miyah Barnes (10.1) also average in double figures.

Similarly, the Blue Raiders is one of four C-USA schools to reach 900 wins, including LA Tech, Old Dominion and WKU.
