Raiders Set to Take on Marshall in the Murphy Center

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team returns to the Murphy Center on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. to host Marshall.
The Blue Raiders (19-6, 10-2) are coming off an electric 81-69 win over WKU on Thursday in Murfreesboro. Meanwhile, the Thundering Herd (14-11, 8-4) enter the contest after a 59-77 setback against UAB in Birmingham.
Scouting Marshall (14-11, 8-4)
The Thundering Herd enter the Murphy Center on Saturday with a 14-11 overall record. In conference play, Shayna Gore leads Marshall's offense, notching 248 points in 12 contests, averaging 20.7 points per game. Similarly, Taylor Porter also averages in double-figures for the Herd, registering 13.7 points per contest in C-USA play.
Overall, the team has produced a +1.2-scoring margin (67.8-66.6) over all opponents this season.
In the all-time series history, Middle Tennessee produces a perfect slate over Marshall, winning all eight meetings between the two teams.
Raiders Produce New Program Record in 81-69 Victory over WKU
Middle Tennessee's victory over the Lady Toppers broke a five-game losing streak in the series for the Blue Raiders, which leads its rival all-time 34-29.
The teams 66.7 field-goal percentage (36-39) set a new program record on Thursday, behind sophomore Anna Jones' 8-of-11 shooting from the field while senior A'Queen Hayes hit an impressive 7-of-9 from the field. The duo posted a combined 43 points for Middle Tennessee in the contest.
