Women's Tennis Finish Up Florida Road Trip

TAMPA, FL. – Middle Tennessee Women's Tennis falls to USF 7-0 on Saturday morning at USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
Middle Tennessee (1-5, 0-0 C-USA) opened Saturday's match against USF (3-3, 0-0 AAC) submitting doubles point after a close battle at #1. Marta Peris Herrero / Lidia Burrows duo won doubles matchup #3 to tie up for doubles point for Kim Kermet / Luisa Zirilli. The duo took a 4-3 lead but the Bulls partners made a 3-0 run earning doubles point.
In singles play, the Blue Raiders fell quickly early on as USF clinched the win after winning three singles matches straight. Lee Barnard forced her match to a third set, but would lose in a tight third frame 6-4.
Up Next
The Blue Raiders finally head back home after a four game road trip. They return to action Friday to open up C-USA competition, February 8th against Old Dominion. The match time is set for 2pm.
