Bartlett named C-USA Video Coordinator of the Year

COLLEGE STATION - The Collegiate Sports Video Association named Erik Bartlett, Video Coordinator of Middle Tennessee State University, the 2018-2019 Conference USA Video Coordinator of the Year.
Bartlett was selected by a majority vote of his peers in C-USA to receive the Conference Video Coordinator of the Year honor. He is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year award, which will be announced at the annual CSVA banquet on May 15th, 2019 in Anaheim, California.
"This is a tremendous honor and I am humbled," said Bartlett. "For my peers to recognize me is really special because we have a lot of talented people in Conference USA. The recognition would have never occurred without a great staff, and my guys are incredible."
The Bob Matey award is presented to the Video Coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance, and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary Video Coordinator from Texas A&M.
Erik Bartlett, a graduate of Middle Tennessee, is in his eighth year as coordinator of video operations for the Blue Raider Football program. Bartlett became just the third full-time video coordinator at Middle Tennessee when he was hired in July 2011.
Bartlett oversees daily operations that include assisting all members of the Blue Raider Football program with their technological needs, maintaining a video library that includes game, practice and opponent tape, creating all motivational and recruiting films and managing inventory of all electronic and camera equipment. He has also overseen planning for all technical aspects of the team's five postseason bowl appearances during his tenure and implementation of a cloud-based service that gives members of the program the ability to study film remotely while overseeing a staff that includes one graduate assistant and eight student assistants.
His other duties with the football program consist of setting up meeting rooms at the hotel during home and away games, making highlight tapes for NFL draft prospects, and handling all video for the coaches' meetings daily.
Bartlett added the title of Associate Director of Football Operations in 2017 where he works closely with director Brent Brock and assists with summer camps.
Erik, and his wife Amy, reside in Murfreesboro and have a son, Brock.
