Adams leads Raiders into Briar's Creek Invitational

JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. – Coming off a team title at the River Landing Classic two weeks ago, the Blue Raider women's golf team is back in action Monday as they tee off in the Briar's Creek Invitational.
The two-day event, hosted by College of Charleston at the Par 72, 6,101-yard Golf Club at Briar's Creek, features 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
Middle Tennessee is one of 17 teams in the field that includes eight Top 50 teams in No. 20 Furman, No. 22 Clemson, No. 23 Michigan State, No. 25 Campbell, No. 27 Illinois, No. 39 Old Dominion, No. 45 East Carolina and No. 50 Penn State.
The Blue Raiders, ranked No. 57 in the nation, are also joined in the field by Boston College, Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, Georgetown, Indiana, Kansas, Long Beach State and UNC Asheville.
Head coach Chris Adams will keep the same lineup that won last time out with the senior trio of Jenna Burris, Kailey Collier and Hanley Long joined by sophomore Sophie Burks and freshman Catherine Caudill.
Monday's first round will get underway with a 9:00 a.m. ET shotgun start while the second round will follow on day one.
