Raiders Return Home Thursday for Midweek Match-Up Against Maine

Lexi Cushing captured the MT program career home run record (27) last Saturday in the first game of a double header against UTSA. During the three game series, Cushing collected a whopping four home runs to push her
season total to eight.
Maine: 3-12
Last Game: W, 9-3 at Tennessee State
Maine is coming off back-to-back wins against Tennessee State on Tuesday in Nashville.
Murfreesboro, Tenn.- The Blue Raiders softball team returns home Thursday, to host Maine for a quick one game series before returning to conference play this weekend.
In the C-USA opener against UTSA, the Raiders fell to the Roadrunners in a pair of one run games. In the series finally, MT fought back from a 9-5 deficit to win in extra innings on the back of five Raider home runs.
The Raiders are currently atop the C-USA standings in hits with 222, in 29 games.
Entering Thursday's game, Maine as a team is batting .261, with seven home runs and 31 extra base hits on the season.
After Maine, the Raiders will resume conference play starting with a double header against Florida International on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
