MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee head coach Jeff Breeden announced the addition of five student-athletes who inked their commitment to Middle Tennessee Softball on National Signing Day.
"We are happy to announce this 2026 signing class," said Breeden. "Our coaches worked very hard to address the needs in pitching and catching in this class. We feel that the combination of the 2025 and 2026 class will be names that Blue Raider Fans will remember for years to come."
Ansley Hall | RHP | Calhoun, Georgia
A four-time All-Region and two-time All-State honoree, Ansley Hall joins the Blue Raiders after a fantastic high school career. Hall has been a part of back-to-back 7AA region championships and was a Georgia 2AA State Champion in 2025. She batted .382 and posted a 0.89 ERA in her senior season, leading her to be named to the Georgia Dugout Club All-State Team. Named the 22nd best pitcher by Extra Innings in 2024 and the Athletics Player of the Year for Athletics Gold Freeman in 2025, Hall has no shortage of travel ball accolades earned with Athletics Tambora. She was also named to the Alliance and Show me the Monet All-Tournament Teams in 2025, and the Clear Water Invitational and PGF Nationals All-Tournament Teams in 2024. Ansley Hall was born a Blue Raider, both parents Middle Tennessee graduates that spent their college careers in the athletic department. Hall has been a frequent visitor to MTSU's campus since she was just three weeks old, destined to become a Blue Raider herself.
"We are extremely happy to have Ansley join the Blue Raiders. Blue Raider blood runs in her veins. Both her dad, Barry and her mom, Krista were Blue Raiders. Barry was a football Blue Raider and Krista was the Lightning mascot. This legacy player will make every Blue Raider proud when she steps in the circle. She has command of her craft and the sky is the limit for this young lady. She comes to us from Athletics Tambora."
Nevaeh James | C | Gulf Shores, Alabama
James has been a varsity starter since ninth grade and has established herself as a steady defensive force. A two-time Alabama 5A-6A All-State selection and South Alabama 6A-7A First Team catcher, James was named Team Defensive MVP as a freshman and is top five in RBIs in the state of Alabama's 6A classification. She was an Alliance Nationals runner-up. James is also a National Honor Society member.
"Nevaeh is a great receiver and has a very good arm behind the plate. She comes to us from Athletics Marinakis/James. She has consistent bat hits with power. She will compete for a starting job as a freshman. We look forward to her getting on campus."
Lily Norman | RHP | Manchester, Tennessee
Lily Norman, an All-District Team, All-Midstate Large Class Team and NFCA High School All-Region Team honoree in 2025, will join the Blue Raiders from just 40 minutes south of Murfreesboro. A right-handed pitcher that can also shine at the plate, Norman batted .379 with five home runs and 24 RBIs while posting a 1.948 ERA and 256 strikeouts.
"Lily comes from Fury Platinum and her pitching coach is Dan Catalano. She is a very talented pitcher. With her height and competitive spirit, she has all the necessary tools to be a great Blue Raider. We look for her to compete as soon as she gets on campus."
Sailor Presley | RHP/Utility | Rockwood, Tennessee
A two-time TSWA First Team All-State, two-time District Player of the Year and District Defensive Player of the Year, Sailor Presley is an athlete with high efficiency on both sides of the ball. Batting .462 and holding an ERA of 0.80, Presley struck out 797 with seven no-hitters and four perfect games thus far in her high school career. Presley was awarded National High School Coaches Association Academic All-American and the Extra Inning Softball Max Preps Golden Arm Award.
"Sailor comes to us from a great travel ball organization, Fury Platinum X. She will compete for a starting role on our team from day one. She is a pitcher that also hits with a high average. She is an athletic player that can also play in the infield and outfield. Her upside is extremely high."
Katy Spargo | C/3B | Santee, California
Spargo enters her senior year as the career home runs and RBIs leader at West Hills High School, named West Hills Offensive Player of the Year every year she has been a member of the team and is currently on track to break the career hits and doubles records. A force behind the plate both offensively and defensively, Spargo has no shortage of accolades to her name; named First Team All-League and All-Conference in 2023, 2024 and 2025, Player of the League in 2024 and 2025, Second Team All CIF-San Diego Section as a third baseman in 2024, and First Team All CIF-San Diego Section and Second Team All-State as a catcher in 2025. She was a finalist at the Colorado Sparkler Home Run Derby in 2025. Spargo is also a member of the National Honor Society of High School Scholars.
"Katy is a big hitting catcher/3B from California. She comes to us from Athletics Marinakis travel organization. She will come in and compete for a starting role behind the plate and a DP spot. Her bat makes her stand out from the rest. Her balls just sound different when they come off the bat. She will remind our fans of a Lexi Cushing style hitter. We look forward to watching her hit in CUSA for the next four years."
