MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee's men's tennis returns back home to Adams Tennis Complex for the last time before hosting the Conference USA tournament in the 'Boro April 19-21st. After a successful weekend in Virginia, the Blue Raiders host UAB and Alabama State in back-to-back matches on Saturday with the first starting at 11:00am.
MT will be honoring the three seniors, Gonzalo Morell, Luis Morillo Diaz and Jacob Pugh on Saturday morning. Come join us to thank the seniors for all their hard work.
The Raiders have been successful when they take the first point of the match. Out of the 14 double points won this season, 11 ended in full match wins for the Blue Raiders. Look for this to be the key for two wins on Saturday.

Scouting Report: This will be the 27th meeting between the Blue Raiders and Blazers. UAB comes into Saturday with an 8-7 record this year and are 1-3 on the road. They are coming off a C-USA loss to FAU. Last season, UAB finished 12-10 overall and lost to Old Dominion in the opening round of the C-USA Tournament, 4-0.

Last season, Alabama State finished 12-9 and won the SWAC championship over Jackson State 4-0 but lost to FSU in the opening round of the NCAA Championship Tournament.

No. 52 Chris Edge/Tom Moonen – the No. 52 ranked pair is currently 18-7 on the season, including 13-5 in the No. 1 spot.
Gonzalo Morell Raschiatore/Pavel Motl – The No. 3 doubles pair has been on fire this season. Together, they are 15-4 overall running a four-match streak and helping the Blue Raiders earn 14 doubles point this season.
Pavel Motl – the freshman leads the team in singles wins with a total of 20 and has cracked the top 10 freshman win record in singles and doubles with 19 wins.
