MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team travels to Bowling Green, Ky. to face its rival, WKU, on Thursday, Mar. 7 in its Conference USA regular season finale.
Scouting the Lady Toppers (16-13, 10-5)
WKU is 16-13 overall, 10-5 in C-USA play under the helm of head coach Greg Collins. This season the Lady Toppers are 8-6 at home in the E.A. Diddle Arena.
The WKU team is led by Dee Givens (18.1 ppg) and Raneem Elgedawy (16.1 ppg). Likewise, Alexis Brewer also averages in double-figures for the Lady Toppers (10.7 ppg).
Thursday's contest will mark the 64th meeting between the two programs, with Middle Tennessee leading the all-time series over WKU, 34-29.
Blue Raiders Surge Past FAU on Senior Night
For the second time this season, the Blue Raiders surged past FAU (74-48) during Middle Tennessee's senior night on Saturday, Mar. 2.
The win over the Owls marked the teams 24th win in the 25-game series all-time and clinched a 20-win season for the 13th time in the last 14 years.
Ten of the Blue Raider's 14 players who saw the floor scored, and the Lady Raiders limited the Owls on the other end to 33 percent shooting. It marked the teams 10th time this season holding an opponent under 50 points.
