Eight Blue Raiders on Athlon all-conference teams

Blankenship, Brooks, Lee first team
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Athlon Sports released its 2019 All-Conference USA teams for the upcoming season on Thursday, and multiple Blue Raiders were included.
Standout senior wide receiver Ty Lee, who's on the cusp of breaking almost every career receiving category at Middle Tennessee, was included on the first team alongside redshirt senior linebacker Khalil Brooks and junior safety Reed Blankenship. Brooks currently ranks in the top 10 at MT in career tackles for loss and sacks, and Blankenship was the team's leading tackler a season ago (107).
On the second team were redshirt senior defensive tackle Malik Manciel and junior linebacker DQ Thomas, and redshirt sophomore running back Chaton Mobley, redshirt senior offensive lineman Josh Fannin and redshirt senior safety Jovante Moffatt were on the third team.
The eight selections tied Middle Tennessee for the fifth most in the conference. FIU led the way with 13, followed by North Texas with 10 and Marshall and UAB with nine.
The Blue Raiders' 2019 campaign, the 104th in the history of the program, will start on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Michigan. Season tickets can be purchased online at goblueraiders.com/tickets.
