Raiders Land Cal State Fullerton Transfer Mia Marinakis

Murfreesboro, Tenn.- The Middle Tennessee softball team adds Cal State Fullerton transfer Mia Marinakis, a right handed pitcher from Chula Vista, California.

While in high school at Bonita Vista, Marinakis was a four-year letter winner and was a three-time All-League First Team selection.

During her freshman season at Fullerton, Marinakis posted a 7.64 ERA, collected four strikeouts, in 7.1 innings pitched. In seven appearances Marinakis faced top teams like Louisville and Oklahoma and participated in the NCAA Regional in Los Angeles.

Marinakis was coached by Blue Raider pitching Coach Tony Foti on the 2019 Greek National during the ESF Super 6 Tournament, which is features the top six teams in Europe and in the U22 European Championship in Trnava, Slovakia.

Marinakis joins a young Raider pitching staff that has junior Amber Baldwin as the lone upperclassman.
