Volleyball Set to Host Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Home Opener

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.—The Middle Tennessee volleyball team is at home for the first time this season, hosting Arkansas-Pine Bluff Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Gym. The Blue Raiders are 4-7 on the season.

Scouting the Opposition
The Golden Lions are 0-11 on the season after most recently falling to Tennessee State on Friday in four sets by scores of 25-13, 16-25, 17-25, 17-25. One player to watch is middle blocker/outside hitter Haley Gomez who tallied 12 kills against Tennessee State. The team had seven aces in the match compared to TSU's four aces.

Dora Peonia has led the team attacks on four occasions and has recorded six double-doubles on the season.
Urte Neimantaite dished out a career-high 17 kills on two occasions and has one double-double. She has also led the team attacks on five occasions.
