Bailey-Duvall Announces the 2019-20 Women's Tennis Schedule

Second season under the direction of head coach Bailey-Duvall
MURFREESBORO, TN – Middle Tennessee women's tennis head coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall released its 2019-20 schedule.
The Blue Raiders enter its second season under the Bailey-Duvall era as they finished with a 11-13 overall record, concluding the 2018-19 campaign MTSU fell to C-USA champs Rice in the second round of the conference tournament.
"I am looking forward to this upcoming fall and spring seasons. We have an opportunity to compete against some of the best teams in the nation." Bailey-Duvall said. "With our team being fairly young, there will be some quality matches allowing us to make a great impression on college tennis."
Raider's fall season will begin by hosting the Wally Tidwell Pro Am (Sept. 6-7) and a few weeks later hitting the road to Indiana for the Hoosier Invite (Sept. 27-29) before hosting the ITA Regionals here in Murfreesboro, TN (Oct. 17-20).
Middle Tennessee is also scheduled to participate in the Vandy Invite in Nashville, TN. (Nov. 1-3) and the FSU Showdown in Tallahassee, FL. (Oct. 8-10) to cap off the fall schedule.
The Blue Raiders begin the spring season with matches against Liberty and South Alabama (Jan. 18-20) in Naples, FL. Raider's start the home opener in a standalone match against Tennessee State (Jan. 25) and then a road trip to Murray State (Jan. 30).
MT hosts Ball State (Feb. 1) and then head to Greenville, SC for back-to-back matches against Marshall (Feb. 8) and host Furman (Feb. 9). They will then host two highly anticipated matchup against Cincinnati (Feb. 14) and ETSU (Feb. 16). Again the Raiders stay home for a pair of matches with UT-Martin (Feb. 21) and UTC (Feb. 22).
The Blue Raiders will head to Austin Peay (Feb. 23) and then playing host to Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Feb. 28) and then heading back on the road for two as they head to New Orleans over spring break to play against SU and UNO (Mar. 9-13).
MT heads on the road for three straight matches as they face Kennesaw State (Mar. 14), Wichita State (Mar. 21) and UNT (Mar. 22) before a quick trip back home against UAB (Mar. 28). The Raiders head out for the last regular season away match against Belmont and the final home match against WKU (Apr. 11) all on the same day.
"We are looking forward to success in our conference and region, while working towards accomplishing our team goals," Bailey-Duvall said.
The Conference USA Championships will take place in Miami, Fla. from April 16-19.
