Riemer, DePriest named Hope Scholars of the Week

The awards were announced on December 16th
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. –The Tennessee Lottery Corporation (TEL) selected two Middle Tennessee soccer student-athletes as the Hope Scholars of the Week in December 16th. Senior Casey Riemer and junior Peyton DePriest were named.
The award is given to those students who demonstrate hard work and dedication necessary to achieve academic success.
The Knoxville native, Casey Riemer wrapped up her final season with the Blue Raiders, playing over 5800 total minutes throughout her career. Not only was she successful on the field, she was successful in the classroom, earning a 3.42 GPA.
Leading from the top of the formation, Peyton DePriest set her name in the Middle Tennessee record book ranking her No. 1 in career goals scored with 42. Breaking the previous record of 39 goals held by Holly Grogan in 2007. DePriest was named to the C-USA All-Academic First Team for her work in the classroom and on the pitch. She majored in Exercise Science with a 3.89 GPA.
