Lady Raiders Return Home to Take On FAU

Murfreesboro, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team returns to action tomorrow against Florida Atlantic at 6:30 after falling to rival WKU in their last matchup. MT will be hosting a baby race at halftime, the winner will receive a Blue Raider onesie and a $25 gift card to Metro Diner.

• Conference USA is sponsoring a conference wide "green out" support of Mental Health Awareness. Student-athletes will be wearing green shoe laces to show support for fellow student-athletes, peers and community members in the pursuit of mental wellness.

About the Lady Raiders
• Sophomore Anastasia Hayes was named C-USA Player of the Week for the second time this season. Hayes' triple-double at Marshall and a solid game at WKU was enough to earn her Co-C-USA honors with Keiunna Walker of LA Tech. Hayes is the only player to be named Player of the Week twice this season.
• Charity Savage is currently ranked eighth in the country and ranks at the top of C-USA in rebounds per game with 11.2.
• Anastasia Hayes is currently third in C-USA in scoring with 16.9 points per game. Hayes is not far off the top spot and trails the leading Rachael Childress from UAB with 17.2 points per game.
Scouting the Owls
• FAU needed two overtimes to outlast the Mean Green 84-78 in their last outing. Lotta Vehka-Aho and Crystal Primm led the offense for FAU by dropping a combined 41 points.
• The Owls had three players (Crystal Primm, Juliette Gauthier, and Astou Gaye) record a double-double in the win over North Texas. The last time FAU had three players tally double-doubles in a single game was on Dec. 3, 2001 against Jacksonville State.
• Crystal Primm leads the Owls in scoring and rebounding with 14.0 points per game and 6.6 boards. Primm is ranked tenth in C-USA in points per game and has notched 210 points this season.
All-Time vs. FAU
• The Lady Raiders lead the all-time series against FAU 24-1. The lone win for the Owls came on Feb. 21, 2009 in Boca Raton. FAU squeaked by the Lady Raiders, 70-73.
• Last season MT swept the conference foe in both meeting last season.
Last Time Out
• In their last match, the Lady Raiders fell to rival WKU 63-71 in Bowling Green, KY. The Lady Raiders were led offensively by freshman Aislynn Hayes with 18 points on 5-of-13 shooting.
• Anastasia Hayes posted 12 points, collected a team high six rebounds, and dished out six assists.
• Alexis Whittington came off the bench and scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting.
Next Time Out
• After the match up with FAU, the Lady Raiders will face off against FIU at 5:00 PM on Saturday in the historic Murphy Center.
