Lady Raiders Travel to Ruston to Face LA Tech

Murfreesboro, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team heads to Ruston, Louisiana for a match up with LA Tech and the Lady Techsters. The Lady Raiders are coming off back to back home wins against FAU and FIU pushing their conference record to 4-2.
Game 19: Middle Tennessee (12-6, 3-2 C-USA) vs. LA Tech (9-7, 1-4 C-USA)

About the Lady Raiders
•Charity Savage is currently ranked eighth in the country and ranks at the top of C-USA in rebounds per game with 11.2. With 202 rebounds this season, Savage is inching her way closer and closer to breaking the top-25 in rebounds in a single season in program history. Savage will need 240 boards to chisel her name into the Lady Raider record book next to greats like Icelyn Elie, Tawanya Mucker, and Ileana Portik at the number 23 spot on the list.
•Anastasia Hayes is currently second in C-USA in scoring with 16.9 points per game. Hayes is not far off the top spot and trails the leading Rachael Childress from UAB with 17.6 points per game. Hayes has a total of 305 points this season.
•Forward Courtney Whitson is C-USA's reigning Freshman of the Week. Whitson went 8-for-15 from three and racked up a total of 30 points over the two game stretch. The Kingsport native also recorded a career high 19 points against FAU.
Scouting the Techsters
•LA Tech is 9-7 overall, 1-4 in C-USA and rank near the bottom of the conference standings. The Lady Techsters have found success at home, posting an 8-2 record in the Thomas Assembly Center.
•The Bulldogs are led by Keiunna Walker and Amber Dixon. Walker paces a balanced offensive attack with 12.3 points per game. Dixon averages 11.

•The Blue Raiders are 7-1 against LA Tech in their last eight meetings (7-5 all time).
•All seven of the Lady Raiders' wins against LA Tech have come under Head Coach Rick Insell.

•Senior Charity Savage recorded her seventh double-double of the season against FIU. Savage averages a double-double this season with 10.6 points and 11.2 rebounds per game.
