Blue Raiders Close Out Dale Short Shootout

Raiders earn 27 wins over the weekend
MURFREESBORO, TN – The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team wrapped up play at the Dale Short Shootout with Chattanooga, Troy and ETSU at the Adams Tennis Complex on Sunday.
After three days of competition, the Blue Raiders earned an impressive 27 wins with Sean Presson and Max Rauch both going undefeated at 6-0.
MT found itself in tight matches early on, as they took two of four doubles matches in the morning. Graduate seniors Tom Moonen and Rauch led the way on court one with a 7-6 (7-1) decision over Bernalzyk and Este of ETSU. Graduate senior Oskar Michalek and junior Sean Presson also won their doubles match, 6-3, over Rodriguez and Dewald of Chattanooga. Presson continued a perfect weekend in solo play with a 7-6, 6-3 victory on court eight versus Voges of UTC before Rauch wrapped up his perfect weekend with a tight 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (3) win against Zabala of ETSU.
In the final round of the tournament, Moonen secured a victory over Rengifo of ETSU in three sets at 6-1, 3-6, 6-1. Pavel Motl completed the day by taking down Bargerson of ETSU at 6-3, 6-4.
The Blue Raiders will return to action at the Buck Bouldin Battle of the Boro on Oct. 9-11 at the Adams Tennis Complex.
