Raiders Conclude Fall at Volunteer Showdown

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – After three successful tournaments, the Middle Tennessee men's tennis team concludes their fall schedule at the Volunteer Showdown.
The Blue Raiders will compete against SEC foes No. 12 Tennessee (host), No. 18 South Carolina and No. 39 Mississippi State.
The event will be played in a round-robin format with each participating school having the opportunity to play in up to eight singles matches and four doubles contests during each of the three days of competition.
Live streaming of every match will be provided through Playsight.
Through three tournaments, MT has amassed an impressive 52-18 singles mark and 24-9 in doubles. Tom Moonen is a highlight of the Raiders after winning his first Conference USA Men's Tennis Athlete of the Month honor. He combined for 14 wins in October (8-1 in singles and 6-2 in doubles). Moonen continues to climb the program's combined wins leader board. He now ranks eighth with 156 in his career.
Junior Francisco Rocha has rolled all fall, gathering an 8-1 mark in singles to match Moonen and lead the Blue Raiders. He posted a 4-2 record in doubles. Pavel Motl and Sean Presson battled through the first three tournaments both racking up a 7-2 record in singles.
