Lady Raiders Return to Murphy Center to Host Troy

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team returns to the Murphy Center Thursday evening when it hosts Troy at 6:30 pm.

- Middle Tennessee fell to TCU, 83-77, on Sunday afternoon in Fort Worth. Anastasia Hayes just missed a triple-double with 28 points, a career-high 14 rebounds, and eight assists.
- Anastasia Hayes was named the C-USA and Tennessee Sports Writers Association Player of the Week following games against Tulane (12/9) and TCU (12/13). She averaged 27.5 ppg, 10 rpg, and 7 apg in the two contests.
- Junior forward Alexis Whittington leads the team in field goal percentage (.440), three-point field goal percentage (.412), free throw percentage (.769), and three-point field goals made (7). The Murfreesboro native ranks eighth in C-USA in free throw percentage and is sixth in the conference in three-point field goal percentage.
- Four Lady Raider starters rank in the top five in C-USA for minutes per game, and they rank in the top 33 nationally. They are Aislynn Hayes (39.7), Alexis Whittington (39.0), Anastasia Hayes (38.0), and Courtney Whitson (38.0).

- MT and Troy were Sun Belt Conference members until 2013-14 when MT joined Conference USA.

- Tiyah Johnson (19.8 ppg) and Alexus Dye (18.5 ppg) lead the Trojans in scoring, and both rank among the top 10 in the Sun Belt Conference.
- Troy is one of the nation's highest-scoring teams. The Trojans entered the week ranked 10th in the NCAA in scoring average at 94 ppg.
- Troy also entered the week ranked second nationally in rebounds per game (53.8). The Trojans led the country last season with a rebounding average of 55 per contest.
