Lady Raiders Return Home to Take On UAB

Murfreesboro, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team returns home to host their annual Play4Kay pink game against UAB Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Murphy Center. The team, coaches and administration encourage fans to join them in wearing pink.

- MT is offering an $8 ticket special at the box office on the day of the game for fans who wear pink.
- Murfreesboro Medical Clinic will set up on the upper concourse prior to the game with information on ways to prevent breast cancer and their Comprehensive Breast Center.
- Pink ribbons will also be handed out in support of breast cancer awareness.
About the Lady Raiders
- Charity Savage continues to lead the conference in rebounding with an average 11.2 rebounds per game and 279 total rebounds. She ranks 11th in the country in rebounds per game and sixth in total rebounds.
- Anastasia Hayes ranks second in C-USA in scoring with 17.6 points per game, and she co-leads the conference with 423 total points.
- Taylor Sutton holds the No. 2 spot in the conference in 3-point field goals made with an average 2.7 per game. She ranks 23rd nationally for total 3-pointers with 68 and 31st for 3-pointers per game.
Scouting the Blazers
- The Blazers are 16-9 overall and 8-5 in Conference USA.
- UAB is led by senior standouts Rachael Childress and Miyah Barnes, both Preseason All-Conference selections. Childress averages 16.9 points per game and leads C-USA in 3-point field goals made with 90. Barnes averages 12.5 points and 3.4 assists per game.
- The Blazers lead C-USA in scoring offense and 3-point field goal percentage. UAB averages 73.9 points per game and is also the league's top 3-point shooting team, connecting for 9.0 per game and shooting 39 percent beyond the arc.

- MT and UAB meet for the 22nd time and the Lady Raiders lead the all-time series, 13-8.
- The Lady Raiders defeated the Blazers 62-52 Saturday in Birmingham.
- Head Coach Rick Insell is 11-5 against UAB and MT is 5-3 versus UAB at Murphy Center.

- The Lady Raiders took on UAB in their last outing, winning 62-52.
- Anastasia Hayes led the team offensively with a game-high 17 points, and she added six rebounds.
