MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's basketball is on the road this weekend for the final time in the 2019-20 regular season, as the Blue Raiders are looking to stay in the fight for a spot in the Conference USA Championship.

About the Blue Raiders
» Middle Tennessee snapped a four game losing streak when it won at Southern Miss last week to open bonus play.
» Donovan Sims is the only Blue Raider to start all 28 games of the 2019-20 season.
» MT's top team statistic is the 524 free throws attempted this season, which ranks as the fourth-most in C-USA. However, the Blue Raiders are seventh in free throws made.
» C.J. Jones has led the Blue Raiders offensively and is best in the conference in three-point field goal percentage (40.5%). Jones's sharp-shooting ranks him 24th nationally.
» Senior forward Reggie Scurry leads his team in rebounds (5.2 per game) and field goal percentage (59.6%).

» MT fell to 6-5 all-time against the Owls after suffering a 91-83 loss a few weeks ago in Murphy Center.

Scouting the Owls
» Rice will be coming off a six-point loss at UTEP last week when it enters play on Sunday.
» The Owls have been a tough out in home games, as they've won all three home games they've played against C-USA teams in the first pod (1-5 in the C-USA standings as of Feb. 16).
» Rice is no stranger to shooting the deep ball, as it is the best in the league in 3-point attempts and 3-point makes.
» Guards Ako Adams and Trey Murphy III lead the way from beyond the arc.
» Murphy leads his team with 13.2 points per game to go with 5.6 rebounds per game while shooting 36.6% from deep.

Last Time Out
» C.J. Jones once again led the way with 18 points, and Donovan Sims followed with 11 as the Blue Raiders earned a road win over Southern Miss, 61-53.
» The 53 points allowed by the Blue Raider defense was the fewest against a Division I opponent this season.
