MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team heads to Greenville, SC for two away matches. The Lady Raiders will take on host Furman on Friday and Marshall on Saturday at the at the Furman Mickel Tennis Center.

- Middle Tennessee's roster features two seniors (Marta Peris Herrero and Lidia Burrows), two juniors (Lee Barnard and Zani Barnard) and four freshmen (Love-Star Alexis, Muskan Gupta, Zoe Klapman and Noelle Mauro).
- The past decade, the Blue Raiders are 60-25 in home matches and 41-56 in away matches.
- Head coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall enters her second season with the Blue Raiders.
- The Raiders finished 11-13 overall and 2-3 in Conference USA, reaching the tournament quarterfinals before falling to C-USA Champions Rice.
- Burrows and Herrero lead the Blue Raiders with a combined over 100 career singles wins.
- Freshman Love-Star Alexis led the Raiders with the most fall wins with seven, look for her to make an immediate impact this season.
- MT moved to 16-0 over Tennessee State last week.
- Marta Herrero Peris and Muskan Gupta are 4-1 in singles.
- The Barnard twins currently hold a 3-1 record in doubles.
- Last week, the Raiders comeback fell short at home against Ball State, 4-3.

Scouting the Paladins
- The series is tied 2-2 when facing the Paladins.
- Last year was the first time the two have seen each other since 2001, Furman knocked off Middle Tennessee 5-2.
- At Furman, the Raiders are 1-1.
- Furman is 5-3 overall and 2-1 at home. They have defeated Davidson, USC-Upstate, Michigan State, Lipscomb and Louisville.
- The Paladins finished 2019 with a program record 26-2.

Scouting the Herd
- This will be the 13th meeting between the Herd and the Blue Raiders. Marshall lead the series, 11-1.
- The only win for the Blue Raiders came in 2018 in Murfreesboro, 4-3 victory.
- Overall, the Herd are 4-1 with wins over Wright State, Dayton, Toledo and Saint Franics. The lone loss came in a tight match with Penn State.
