Blue Raiders Set to Compete at the Louisville Tennis Classic this Weekend

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Blue Raiders women's tennis will travel to Louisville, Kentucky to compete in the Louisville Tennis Classic at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on Friday. Ball State, DePaul, Louisville, and Middle Tennessee will be competing against each other until Sunday.
Five Blue Raiders will be making the trip. Lee Barnard, Zani Barnard, Muskan Gupta, Noelle Mauro, and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt will be boasting the blue and white in singles and doubles.
Last weekend in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional, the tandem of Gupta and Schmidt advanced to the Doubles Main Draw Round of 32 by defeating, Ball State's duo of Braun/Lukacs, 8-5. It was the best result for Middle Tennessee in the regional. In singles, Gupta was the only Blue Raider to get out of the Main Draw Round of 128 before falling in the Round of 64 the following day.
To close out the tournament, the Blue Raiders won six out of its last seven in consolation play and are looking to build off of that momentum this weekend.
