Blue Raiders Sweep C-USA Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week of Awards

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Senior Cecilia Francis has been named C-USA Track Athlete of the Week, and senior Esther Isa has been named C-USA Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Francis posted an impressive outing at the Music City Challenge on Feb. 12-13, recording top-three finishes in both events.
On day one, she competed in the 200 meters and finished third overall with a time of 24.55. The time was second fastest in C-USA and ranked 130th nationally. On day two, she blew past the competition en route to the women's 60-meter title. Her time of 7.34 was a new women's indoor school record in the event. The time was also the fastest in C-USA and was 24th nationally.
Esther Isa made the most out of the two events she competed in at the Music City Challenge. She had a strong showing with a 1.78m jump to claim the women's high jump title. Later on, she jumped 5.52m to finish eighth in the women's long jump.
