Volleyball Travels to Take on Charlotte

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee volleyball team is set to hit the road this weekend, with a pair of games against the Charlotte 49ers. The Blue Raiders will take on Charlotte Sunday, Feb. 28 at 12 p.m. on CUSA.tv, followed by a noon matchup on Monday. Monday's match will also be CUSA.tv.
Match 6 & 7: Middle Tennessee (1-4, 1-2) at Charlotte (5-4, 3-3)

About the Blue Raiders
- The Blue Raiders split their home series with Old Dominion. They won Sunday's match in five sets and would then drop their Monday match in five sets.
- After collecting double-digit kills in both matches against Old Dominion, Amelia Van Der Werff earned Conference USA Freshman of the Week honors. It is the first time a Middle Tennessee player has ever received a weekly Freshman of the Week honor in C-USA.
- Van Der Werff currently leads the team with 53 kills averaging 2.41 per set. She also ranks first in C-USA and 11th nationally in hitting percentage with a .458 clip.
- In Monday's match against the Monarchs, Taylor Eisert set a career-high with 51 assists.

- Sophie Whalen has played every set as a libero for the 49ers, averaging 4.00 digs per set.
