Thomas invited to East-West Shrine Game

MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee linebacker DQ Thomas has officially been invited to the 2022 97th East-West Shrine Game. The college all-star event will take place on Feb. 3 in Las Vegas at the brand new Allegiant Stadium and be carried nationally on the NFL Network.
Thomas will join teammate Reed Blankenship in Las Vegas, marking the third time multiple Blue Raiders have played in the game.
Thomas, the Bahamas Bowl Defensive MVP, ranks as the school's all-time leader in tackles for loss (53.0) and is tied for third all-time in sacks (20.5). He ended the season ranked third on the team with 89 tackles, including 17.0 TFLs, 5.0 sacks, two interceptions, seven hurries, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble.
Players will be in Las Vegas for an entire week to work with multiple NFL coaches, train like the pros and meet and learn from numerous NFL Pro Bowl players.

2003: Dwone Hicks (did not play due to injury)
2013: Anthony Amos
2017: I'Tavius Mathers and Jeremy Cutrer
2021: Reed Blankenship and Robert Jones
2022: Reed Blankenship and DQ Thomas
