Edlin tied for third through two rounds in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - In a previously unexpected turn of events, weather conditions permitted the completion of the second round of the Evie Odom Intercollegiate on Saturday. Taylor Edlin climbed the leaderboard, finishing the day tied for third place at 139 (-1), carding a 68 (-2) in the second round.
Play began with the final holes of the first round, which had been suspended Thursday evening due to high winds.
After recording five birdies in the first round, Edlin added four in the second, all coming on holes 2-7.
Molly Bebelaar finished the second round in a tie for 16th at 144 (+4). She carded a 72 (+2) in Saturday's second round, finishing with a birdie on her final hole of the day.
Abbie Lee and Catherine Caudill are tied for 54th at 151 (+11). Caudill was 3-over in the second round, while Lee was 5-over. Lanie Campbell rounds out the lineup in 78th at 158 (+18) heading into the final round.
Playing as an individual, Lauren Gilchrist recorded a 71 (+1) and is tied for 38th at 148 (+8).
The Blue Raiders ended the round in ninth place at 585 (+25). MTSU took nine strokes off its first round score to finish the second with a collective 288 (+8).

71.77 - The average score on the par-70, 5,824-yard course dropped nearly five strokes from the first round to the second, falling to 71.77.

"We played pretty solid today as a group, and the scores were pretty low overall. Taylor finished great and leads the field in birdies. Molly and Lauren also had good rounds today. We finished our last 6 holes today with about 10 birdies to finish pretty strong. We have to come out tomorrow and put up a great team score to keep moving up."
