Make sure to vote on the Murphy Center 50th Anniversary Team
I've had a blast getting ready for the 50th Anniversary of the Murphy Center these past two weeks, helping our creative services team with their work on a documentary of the arena's construction and history, interviewing Blue Raider legends like Charles Pigg, Tommy Haynes and Harold Smith about design, track meets and Elvis concerts, among many other Murphy Center memories
Now, it's time to help select the All-Murphy Center teams for the 50th anniversary this season. Starting today, MTSU Athletics will link multiple polls for Blue Raider fans to select their Top 15 all-time Blue Raiders and Lady Raiders, as well as the Top 15 all-time opponent players for both teams. Check out the nominees for the All-time Blue Raider team below!

Cross Country posts strong numbers in final tune-up ahead of C-USA Championships
The excitement from Head Track and Field Coach Keith Vroman was apparent after his men's and women's cross country teams both finished third at the Crimson Classic this past Friday.
"I thought that the freshmen really stepped up in today's race," Vroman said. "Zaila (Smith) was lights out for us. Carmelo (Cannizzaro) had a huge PR today. "This was a solid performance for the team all around heading into the Conference USA Championships in a couple weeks. It's going to be a lot of fun."
Both the men and women took third this morning at the Crimson Classic! 👏

Adri Rhoda continued her standout freshman campaign down in Florida this weekend, being awarded the Conference USA Freshman of the Week award for the fourth time this season after her stellar weekend in the Sunshine state.

Rhoda is just the fifth player in C-USA history to win this honor four or more times, and is the first Blue Raider to earn four weekly honors in a season since 2010.

The Hutchinson, Minnesota native led all freshmen in conference this week in kills (25), aces (5), points (33.0), and points per set (4.13). Among freshmen, she was also second in kills per set (3.13) and aces per set (.63).
More notably, Rhoda has already set the single season rally scoring era record for service aces in a season with 49 through Sunday. Her 49 aces already have her 10th all-time in program history in the category, making her one of just two Blue Raiders to crack the Top 10 in the 21st century.

No Live with Rick Stockstill! this week
Thanks to this week's open date for MTSU Football, Live with Rick Stockstill! will take a one week hiatus.
Be sure to join us next Monday at The Boulevard, where Rick Stockstill will preview the Blue Raiders trip to UTEP in C-USA play on October 29th.
Closing Note: Homecoming Parade
Like most (relatively) recent college graduates, particularly those that live out of their home state like I do, my parents like to check in on what I'm up to from time-to-time. I got a text from my mom this weekend, highlighting this video of the MTSU Homecoming parade this past Saturday.
It's not Homecoming without the PARADE! 🎉#BLUEnited pic.twitter.com/3MvHAWEr24
— MT Athletics (@MTAthletics) October 15, 2022
She said it was so "sweet and pure" and a great reflection of our fan base. I agree wholeheartedly, and just wanted to take the time on this open date for football to not only thank anyone who showed up to Homecoming this weekend, but also to anyone who reads my work here at GoBlueRaiders.com.
As my mother noted to me this weekend, it's the people I've met that have made this job amazing. I'm fortunate to help tell the stories of this school for a tremendous group of supporters, and I thank all who continue to follow along to see what we put together each week. Your passion does not go unnoticed.
