Blue Raiders ride win streak to St. Bonaventure

St. Bonaventure, N.Y. – Fresh off three wins in three days at the Northern Classic in Montreal, Middle Tennessee men's basketball will look to finish its road trip 4-0 Wednesday night in a matchup at St. Bonaventure.
Tipoff from western New York is set for 6 p.m. CT, with the game being available on ESPN+. Saturday's matchup can also be heard on 94.9 The Fan, 95.1 in Murfreesboro, as well as WGNS 101.9 FM, 100.5, and 1450 AM. GoBlueRaiders.com and the Varsity Network App will also carry the radio broadcast.
MTSU is 5-2 on the year after defeating Hofstra, Stephen F. Austin and Montana State in the Northern Classic.

» Middle Tennessee hosted the A-10 program in 2019-20, giving up a pair of field goals in the waning 30 seconds to lose a three-point lead and the game, 66-65.

» The Blue Raiders are coming off wins on three straight days for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
» Middle Tennessee holds Conference USA's longest active home winning streak at 19 games, the fourth-longest such streak in program history. The Blue Raiders are two wins short of tying their third-longest home winning streak.
» Elias King recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and a career-high 10 rebounds against Hofstra in the opening game of the Northern Classic. King averaged 10.3 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting .462 (6-13) from 3-point range and blocking five shots in the three games. His second-chance layup put MTSU ahead of Montana State with 18 seconds left, and his defensive rebound on the other end sealed the victory Sunday.
» Jestin Porter averaged 13.7 points per game in the Northern Classic and has made a team0high 17 consecutive free throws entering Wednesday.
» Middle Tennessee in now 9-2 on neutral hardwood over the last two years after going 1-15 the previous four seasons.
» DeAndre Dishman is one of just six seventh-year players in Division I men's basketball this season. His 14 points and 10 rebounds at Winthrop marked his second double-double as a Blue Raider and the fourth of his college career.
Scouting the Bonnies
» St. Bonaventure is coming off a 63-51 win over Notre Dame on Friday.
» Sophomore guard Kyrell Luc had 16 points to lead the Bonnies in their win over the Fighting Irish, while freshman forward Yann Farell registered a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
» St. Bonaventure held Notre Dame to a paltry 2-17 shooting from beyond the 3-point line.
» Redshirt junior guard Daryl Banks III leads the team in scoring at 17.3 points per game so far this season, with Luc following closely behind at 16.0. Redshirt sophomore forward Chad Venning is averaging 11.7 points per game, with Farell sitting at 10.2 points and a team-high eight rebounds per game.
» Mark Schmidt's team finished fourth in the A-10 last year with a 23-10 record and a 12-5 league clip. The Bonnies defeated three Power 5 foes in the National Invitational Tournament before falling to Xavier in the event's semifinal.
