TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Middle Tennessee finished the Florida State Match-Up in 12th place Sunday, carding a 313 (+25) to finish 12th as a team at 929 (+65). Caroline Caudill led the Blue Raiders in the tournament, tying for 26th at 226 (+10) after wrapping up the tournament with a 78 (+6).
"We have some work to do to get ready for our next event and gain some confidence," head coach Chris Adams said. "Caroline had a pretty good tourney, and we had some other good rounds. We just have to find some consistency, and that will come with more rounds under our belt."
Catherine Caudill recorded Middle Tennessee's best score of the day at 77 (+5). The younger Caudill sister finished with her best round of the tournament and ended the event tied for 63rd at 239 (+23).
Madison Smith was MT's second-highest finisher, tying for 55th at 236 (+20). Molly Bebelaar tied for 60th at 238 (+22), and Sophie Burks joined Catherine Caudill in a tie for 63rd at 239 (+23).
Playing as an individual, Abbie Lee tied for 63rd at 239 (+3) in her first collegiate tourney.
The Blue Raiders finished the day 68 strokes off the lead in a field featuring eight teams ranked in the top 50 by Golfstat.
The Blue Raiders are back in action March 14-15 at the Jackrabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State in Boulder City, Nevada.
