Lenard earns fourth C-USA Freshman of the Week award

DALLAS - Teafale Lenard, Jr. has been named Conference USA Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season, as announced by the conference today. Lenard amassed 25 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks, and three steals on the week, helping the Blue Raiders to a 3-0 record.
Lenard scored his points in style, throwing down six dunks on the week. Among those jams was the No. 8 play on SportsCenter's Top 10 plays Thursday.
Earlier this season, the Snyder, Texas, native became the first Blue Raider to ever win multiple C-USA Freshman of the Year awards. His fourth extends his mark for MT's most-ever C-USA Freshman of the Year awards in a single season. He now trails only Charlotte's Aly Khalifa for the most C-USA Freshman of the Week awards this season.
Lenard and the Blue Raiders are back in action on the road this week, taking on Charlotte at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Old Dominion at 1 p.m. Saturday.
