Blue Raiders prepped for Chattanooga Classic

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's golf returns to action at the Chattanooga Classic coming off a win in its last tournament. The Blue Raiders will take on the 21-team, 105-player field at the par-72, 6,234-yard Council Fire Golf Club two weeks after winning the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nev.
MT moved up from third to first in the final round of the Jackrabbit Invitational. All five members of the Blue Raider lineup finished in the top 20, led by Sophie Burks, who tied for fifth at 215 (-1).

- Middle Tennessee's win in Nevada was its first team title since the 2018-19 season.
- MT recorded a pair of top-10 finishes in the fall, including a third-place finish at the USA Intercollegiate and a fourth-place finish at the Ozarks National Invitational.
- The Blue Raiders opened the 2021-22 season by posting the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history, carding a collective 855 (-9) to finish third at the USA Intercollegiate in Mobile, Ala.
- At No. 259, Caroline Caudill is the highest-ranked Blue Raider by Golfweek.
- Graduate student Sophie Burks set a program record of her own in Mobile, turning in a 205 (-11) to tie for third individually and earn Conference USA Player of the Week honors.
- The Blue Raiders enter the tournament at No. 93 in the latest Golfweek Women's Collegiate Team Rankings and No. 100 by Golfstat.
