Blue Raiders wrap up regular season at Mossy Oak Collegiate Championship

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Blue Raider men's golf makes one last appearance in the regular season this week, heading to Mississippi State's Mossy Oak Collegiate Championship at Mossy Oak Golf Club in West Point, Miss. The tournament will be held April 11-12 on the par 72, 7,212-yard course.
The Blue Raiders got off to a strong start to the spring slate, claiming team titles in each of their first two tournaments. Kevin Jegers has won the individual crown in both events, setting the program record for the lowest individual 54-hole score on both occasions. MT is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship, in which Nick Wolf tied for ninth.
Play starts with an 8 a.m. shotgun start Monday with two rounds on the schedule. The third round begins with tee times between 8:00 and 10:24 a.m.
WEATHER
The weekend forecast for West Point, Miss., as of Sunday calls for highs around 80 degrees both days with rain Monday morning and a chance of thunderstorms on Tuesday.
NOTES
- In addition to its two wins, Middle Tennessee has finished in the top five as a team six times in eight tournaments this season.
- Jegers' two wins are the first of his collegiate career. He was named Conference USA Player of the Week after each victory.
- Michael Barnard leads the Blue Raiders with a stroke average of 71.14 this season.
- Middle Tennessee enters the tournament ranked No. 76 as a team by both Golfweek and Golfstat.
- The 19-team field at the Mason Rudolph Championship features four top-25 teams in the Golfstat rankings (No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 16 Auburn, No. 18 Florida State and No. 19 Ole Miss) and 14 top-100 teams.
