Blue Raiders take aim at fourth straight C-USA title

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee men's golf plays for its fourth straight Conference USA title this week at the conference tournament. The C-USA Championship will be held April 25-28 on the par 72, 6,969-yard course at Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Texas.
The Blue Raiders have won the last three C-USA Tournaments, held in 2018, 2019 and 2021. MT has won a pair of team tournament titles this spring, with Kevin Jegers winning the individual crown in both events and setting the program record for the lowest individual 54-hole score on both occasions.
WEATHER
The weekend forecast for Texarkana calls for rain on Monday with sunny conditions the next two days. Thursday's match play round appears to be ticketed for partly cloudy conditions with 10 mph winds.
NOTES
- In addition to its two wins, Middle Tennessee has finished in the top five as a team six times in nine tournaments this season.
- Jegers' two wins are the first of his collegiate career. He was named Conference USA Player of the Week after each victory.
- Nick Wolf leads the Blue Raiders with a stroke average of 71.59 this season.
- Middle Tennessee enters the tournament ranked No. 71 as a team by Golfstat and No. 73 by Golfweek.
- MT is the third-ranked team in C-USA entering the tournament behind only No. 28 Charlotte and No. 54 UAB.
