Dunnigan named C-USA Player of the Week

MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee sophomore Quindarius Dunnigan was honored as the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week Monday after helping lead the Blue Raiders to a 34-19 win over Colorado State. It is the first honor of Dunnigan's career.
Dunnigan, making his first collegiate start, led a Blue Raider defense that recorded a school record tying nine sacks, held the Rams to 246 yards of total offense, and forced four turnovers. Dunnigan registered a career-best seven tackles, including 3.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks and a pass breakup. The 2.5 sacks equaled the sixth most in a Blue Raider game.
Overall, this was the 83rd conference player of the week winner under Head Coach Rick Stockstill with 34 coming in Conference USA and 49 from the Sun Belt. A total of 25 have been on offense, 35 on defense and 23 on special teams.
