DALLAS - The conference office has announced Monday afternoon that freshman Adri Rhoda was named C-USA Freshman of the Week and junior Taylor Eisert was named C-USA Setter of the Week after going 4-0 with the Blue Raiders this past week. This is both their second week in-a-row earning these honors.
After earning her first weekly honors from the conference office, Rhoda followed her previous week's performance by taking another step in the right direction. Rhoda was named as a Blue Raider Invitational All-Tournament member after leading MTSU with 35 kills in the tournament. The Hutchinson, Minn. native had a career-high 17 kills on a .448 hitting percentage in a win over UT Martin on Saturday. The outside hitter led all starting C-USA freshman in kills per set, points per set, service aces per set, and blocks per set last week. Rhoda is just the second Blue Raider in program history to win two conference freshman of the week honors.
Eisert continues to set the Blue Raiders up for great things, becoming the first Blue Raider in program history to win setter of the week honors twice. She is also the first to win three weekly honors from C-USA for the Blue Raiders, previously winning freshman of the week in 2020. The Louisville, Ky. native led the conference in assists per set average (10.75) this week and also pushed the Blue Raiders to the second highest hitting percentage (.288) in conference, just .001 behind the first-ranked team. This is her second honor of the season from the conference office.
