MT Finishes the Weekend 2-1 at the Red Storm Invitational

Eisert and Rhoda tabbed All-Tournament for their performance this weekend
QUEENS, N.Y. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team finished the weekend 2-1 after dropping their final match against St. John's. The Blue Raiders dropped the first two sets and bounced back in the third, but fell short in the end of a 24-26 fourth set loss.
The Blue Raiders (10-3, 0-0 C-USA) battled with the St. John's Red Storm (9-4, 0-0 BIG EAST) in their first meeting ever, dropping it late 1-3 (16-25, 24-26, 25-17, 24-26). The Blue Raiders managed to only get outhit by St. John's .004, as they hit .269 to the Red Storm's .273.
Freshman Adri Rhoda and junior Taylor Eisert both were named to the Red Storm Invitational All-Tournament team this weekend. Rhoda led the team with 47 kills through the three matches to go along with 14 service aces on a 1.17 aces per set average. Eisert racked up 119 assists to go along with 11 kills on a .241 attack percentage.
By the Numbers
.857: Senior Kayla Henley had another great weekend but had her best set at the end of the St. John's match going 6 of 7 for a .857 attack percentage.
4: Eisert and senior Kaylee Oscarson dominated the block in set two, having four block assists each in the set.

- Rhoda has 33 service aces on the season already, giving her sole possession of fifth on the 25-point scoring era records list. She is 11 away from tying the current-record holder, Dora Peonia.
- Senior Marley Banton is only five aces away from tying the 25-point era program record holder, Chelsea Ross.
