MTSU sweeps Bulldogs to end non-conference play

Rhoda led the Blue Raiders with nine kills and five service aces
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team finished non-conference play Wednesday night against the Alabama A&M Bulldogs. The Blue Raiders cruised through three sets, taking the sweep in front of a great home crowd.
The Blue Raiders (11-3, 0-0 C-USA) put the Alabama A&M Bulldogs (1-14, 0-0 SWAC) in a collar, winning the three sets 25-15, 25-12, and 25-15. MTSU was able to rotate all 14 dressed players in tonight, giving everyone a little bit of rest before their Saturday matchup with WKU.
Freshman Adri Rhoda led the Blue Raiders on offense with nine kills (9-2-16) on a .438 attack percentage to go along with five service aces. In total, Rhoda ended the night with a total of 15.0 points. Freshman Caroline Macander had a great night, racking up career-highs in assists (19), digs (7), and blocks (2). On the attack, graduate student Julia Carter was one kill behind Rhoda with eight on a .333 attack percentage.

6: Redshirt-sophomore Melisa Töre had an outstanding third set, racking up three kills and three service aces for a total of 6.0 points.
