Blue Raiders to compete at Tops’l Battle at the Beach

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's tennis is heading south to Destin, Fla. to compete in the Tops'l Battle at the Beach, at TOPS'L Beach & Racquet Resort on Sept 23-25.
This will be the second fall tournament for the Blue Raiders. MTSU will face two opponents who finished the 2021-22 season nationally ranked, Florida State finished last spring at No. 22, while Georgia State slotted at No. 62.
The Blue Raiders will be taking three freshmen in Ondrej Horak, Marcel Kamrowski and Shu Matsuoka, as well as graduate student, Pavel Motl.
HEAD COACH JIMMY BORENDAME ON THIS WEEKEND
"We are excited to get back into some matches this weekend," said Head Coach Jimmy Borendame. "The field is strong, and we are looking forward to having some Blue Raider faithful down to support us on the road. It's not too often you see fans travel to tennis, and we are fortunate to have amazing support wherever we play."

Participating Teams: Middle Tennessee, Florida State, Georgia State, Tennessee State, Tulane

Doubles will be followed by singles. The schedule for the tournament is as follows:

Individual point scoring will be used to determine Battle at the Beach winners.
