Blue Raiders finish USA Intercollegiate in ninth place

MOBILE, Ala. — Middle Tennessee women's golf finished the USA Intercollegiate in ninth place Monday. The Blue Raiders moved up one spot on the leaderboard with a score of 288 (E) in the third round, finishing South Alabama's season-opening tournament 871 (+7).
Leading the way for MTSU in the third round were Taylor Edlin and Lanie Campbell, who each carded a 71 (-1) Monday. Each recorded their first under-par round of the year. In Campbell's case, it was the first of her career.
Edlin and Molly Bebelaar were the highest-finishing Blue Raiders in the three-day event at Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course, each carding a 218 (+2) to finish in a tie for 27th.
Abbie Lee finished 36th at 220 (+4). Catherine Caudill tied for 44th at 223 (+7). Campbell rounded out the lineup in a tie for 54th at 225 (+9). Lauren Gilchrist tied for 58th as an individual at 226 (+10).

"Overall, I'm pleased with the play, as we got better each day. There were some bright spots with some under par rounds. We're looking forward to having some time to work on a few things before Vandy."
